My guess is that while "moving back" he overwrote the live hardlinks
in $prefix, so a
ls -lL /opt/local/bin/mysql_install_db5
would have shown only one link rather than two.
But after uninstall and reinstall we'll never know.
At this point, and considering that it takes about 5 minutes to get
mysql compiled and configured, I'd be happy if David can just clean up
his mistakes so we are not guessing.
