Interesting... didn't even know of PGXN's existence. Sadly, SPI doesn't seem to exist on PGXN. And, it also requires installing PGXN client written in Python, which, hopefully shouldn't be any more difficult that macports, but I know nothing about Python. I downloaded the Pg source code, and that does come with the source for a boatload of contribs. But, to compile any of those extensions, I need to "run configure in the top level directory and then run `gmake all`".
