Dear all, When I selfupdate I get the following: $sudo port -v selfupdate ---> Updating MacPorts base sources using rsync @ERROR: chdir failed rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at /SourceCache/rsync/rsync-40/rsync/main.c(1398) [receiver=2.6.9] shell command "/usr/bin/rsync -rtzv --delete-after rsync://rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/base.tar /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs" returned error 5 Error: /opt/local/bin/port: port selfupdate failed: Error synchronizing MacPorts sources: shell command failed (see log for details)
I haven't found the log yet, but I will keep looking. I've run selfupdate before on this internet connection, so I don't think it is a firewall issue, and indeed turning the firewall off on my machine does not affect the results. If anyone knows what else I should do to debug, please share.
