The 'chkconfig' command is the RPM (Red Hat/Fedora/CentOs) equivalent of the init script 'sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 start|graceful|stop' command on Deb/Ubuntu distros & when it's installed by apt it automatically starts apache on login (on RPM distros yum doesn't, so you have to use the 'chkconfig' command to ensure it starts at login).
