MacPorts opt folder: Hidden one?

Due to difficulties accessing the content of the user accounts I have  
had to reinstall the system, and I took the opportunity to also  
reinstall MacPorts. Now, its opt folder is a hidden one: Is that its  
normal status?

This is not a problem, just a question. Thanks.
