I'm trying to use MacPorts to maintain a Ruby installation because
installing it using other mechanisms is very painful. However, while
Ruby 2.1 installed just fine, when I attempted to install gem and rake
it pulled in Ruby 1.8.7, which is old if not obsolete. How can I install
rake and gem in a way that is compatible with Ruby 2.1? I don't see
ports for these.
