Whoever wrote that brewfile probably copied the build configuration from MacPorts, or copied just the patch when it became an issue. They just didn't bother to rehost it. It's a bit ironic, but aside from that, the potential for breakage when the patch changes, and the lapse in etiquette of not rehosting is there any problem here? Is the patch released under some license that would restrict reuse like this?
