Hi,

I guess the main message is

gdk-pixbuf2 must be installed with +x11.

You must have this port installed already without the x11 variant. Try reinstalling with this option.

Hello,

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm trying to install kde4-baseapps, but I'm having some trouble:

--->  Fetching archive for gtk3

Error: Failed to archivefetch gtk3: gdk-pixbuf2 must be installed with +x11.

Error: See
/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_gnome_gtk3/gtk3/main.log
for details.

Error: Follow https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets to report a bug.

Error: Processing of port kde4-baseapps failed

I've already tried: sudo port selfupdate

Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks!

Dorien

        Thanks Jonathan,

That is very helpful, I am not very familiar with airports yet.

        I may consider installing it.

As already mentioned, dolphin is part of kde4-baseapps in
        macports. It

does have a rather large set of dependencies -- whether that
        is "too

much overhead" is matter of opinion. Like you, I haven't
        found a file

manager I like better, so I use it. I also use a few other
        KDE apps,

like kompare, gwenview, and okular (separate ports).
        Macports uses QT4

built against Mac's graphics backend, so X11 isn't needed.
