Thank you for guiding me to the ticket. I followed the patch instruction for lion at the end of the ticket and all was good until the very last step: sudo port install libarchive Error: Unable to execute port: Could not open file: /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/ports/archivers/libarchive/Portfile
I checked and the file was there, with superuser rw permissions. I wanted to add my experience to the ticket, but was unable to determine how to do that. If you will guide me once more, please tell me how to add to the ticket and I will continue from there.
