inkscape +quartz 100% CPU all the time on Mojave

Hello, 
I just upgraded my OS to Mojave and installed all the ports. I’m encountering a 
problem with Inkscape. If I run it (both from terminal and app) it is very 
sluggish and it always gets 100% CPU. 

Any idea on how to debug this?
