Your where forcing the use of some application specific libc++ version, of known origin and age (but based on the name came from as far back as OSX10.6) onto applications it was never intended for. To be honest its quite surprising it worked at all.

DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH is a sledge hammer. Use with extreme care....
