It's probably not a MacPorts-specific problem. I searched Google for that error
message and got some hits. Maybe the suggestions there will help you.
thanks for the quick response. yes, I did google as well before posting but only found the reference
to "hgsubversion" might be the cause if unsuitable version. so I thought it might be that... but if
not I will search elsewhere for a solution, sure.
