Franco,

I have figured it out. It is a perl script that is from CPC which produces the description file for grib2 data.
I just copy it to /usr/local/bin/
 and it works.
 Thanks
 Tao

/Users/tzhang/Disk/CPC> g2ctl pgb.202111.2_5 > aaa.ctl

/Users/tzhang/Disk/CPC> which g2ctl
/usr/local/bin/g2ctl

Hi Franco,

   wgrib2 has been installed. I have also re-activate libunwind-headers
following your comments.
gribmap is available, but I can not find "g2ctl" command,
   see below and https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/wesley/g2ctl.html

Should I install "g2ctl" as well?
  Thanks
  Tao

MacBook-Pro:~ 40;which g2ctl

MacBook-Pro:~ 41;which wgrib2
/opt/local/bin/wgrib2

Does anyone have the same issue? What causes this issue?
   How to fix this it?

   Thanks
