Never saw this error before...
I did. After upgrade to Macports 2.11.1.
Managed to work around it with sudo /usr/sbin/purge, see
https://trac.macports.org/ticket/72689
sudo port -v selfupdate
Transfer starting: 3 files
rsync(90801): error: PortIndex: utimensat (2): Permission denied
./
PortIndex
Has come back for me in with Macports 2.11.4 (not right away, but
now), workarounds from 72689 do not seem to have any effect.
FWIW, Just now I was able to selfupdate again.
