AquaticPrime is now at http://github.com/bdrister/AquaticPrime (And Ill take this opportunity to re-encourage everybody to contribute the improvements/utilities theyve made in their own sources. I got a lot of interest from people in contributing, but not much actual code so far. I know its hard to find time to put together charity work, but think of how youve benefited from others contributions. Even if youre not gitty and dont want to do it on github, it just takes a few minutes to send a diff with a description of the change.) >> AquaticPrime (RSA-based, file-based keys): http://www.aquaticmac.com/ > > Aquatic Prime proof-of-concept crack: > http://zathras.de/angelweb/blog-aquatic-prime-crack.htm Its been well known for a long time, since the original release, that using the Obj-C version of AP is generally a bad idea. One of the changes I made since taking it over was adding an explicit warning away from it, and sending devs to the CoreFoundation version. No system is ever going to be impermeable and uncrackable, but IMHO (and others) using a CF-based public key registration system does a great job at essentially eliminating keygens (the most deadly of all piracy issues) and leaving the bar for cracking "high enough" with very little effort on your part. br -- Benjamin Rister President, Decimus Software, Inc. http://decimus.net/ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ MacSB email guidelines: http://tinyurl.com/2g55d6 Use MacSB-Talk for off topic messages: http://groups.google.com/group/macsb-talk Yahoo!
