Inspired by Mike Piatek-Jimenez's generous move of donating the month's sales of his Seasonality product to Partners In Health, I wanted to do something similar and hopefully get some others along for the ride.
For one day next week (tentatively Tuesday or Wednesday), I am going to donate the sales of all of my company, Second Gear's products to charity. I'd like to encourage other Mac companies to participate as well. In the spirit of OneFingerDiscount and MacSanta, I’d like to aggregate all of the participating companies onto a single site that customers can go to, see the products being offered and make their purchasing decision. You would handle the sales of your product on your store and at the end of the day donate the sales to your charity of choice. If you are interested in participating, please email me off list with your company name, what products you are interesting in offering and the charity you are planning to support. Once I have a list of participating companies, we can go from there. I've written a blog post on my personal site with a bit more information about the goals of this: http://carpeaqua.com/2010/01/14/a-days-sales-for-haiti/ Thanks for (hopefully) participating! - Justin Williams [email protected] http://www.secondgearsoftware.com/ - Check out Today: snapshot view of your daily iCal agenda <http://www.secondgearsoftware.com/today/> - ------------------------------------ MacSB email guidelines: http://tinyurl.com/2g55d6 Use MacSB-Talk for off topic messages: http://groups.google.com/group/macsb-talk Yahoo!
