So guys, what do you think about the macworld expo indie list ( http://macworldexpo.com/indielist ) and about the execution of the idea behind it?
If for one think the idea was great - the execution lead to a failure. :( I've read about the list/promo in Scotty's MDN blog and entered my app ASAP with the result of getting a relatively(!!!) good place. (I'm around #20 on that list. So far so good. But ... I don't want to be an a*hole as this is still a free promo and the macworld guys did it for free, etc. But the list is really just ... well ... terrible. It's a list of ~100 apps on one page with a 7pt font and 80% of the apps even don't have icons. (I got lucky that I fished the "we need your logo till sunday which is ... well ... tomorrow!"-mail from my spam folder.) Well the promo yielded me till now 20 users coming from the macworld page. /o\ On the user side I tried to browse the list and find some interesting apps I might want to buy but I gave up after app #5. Font is too small, the apps are not categorized and the page lacks screen shots. Oh, btw. did they any PR for this? Seems like no mac centric blog has written about this yet and the promo will be over tomorrow :( /2(euro)cents
