I've gotten 6 sales from it - it's basically doing nothing. It
looked like trouble early on when they asked for (1) icons at 150x100
pixels or some such oddball size (2) they asked for jpeg instead of
png without specifying a background color or sample page design for
us to coordinate with. And to my knowledge there's been no
significant promotion of it. I think it was a good idea that didn't
get any resources because it really doesn't relate to the physical
conference, and isn't going to make money for anyone but us (IDG
makes money off the conference, so the macworldexpo.com web site is
there to serve attendees and build buzz to get more live bodies to
the show floor).
That said, it IS something we're getting for free, so we don't really
have any room to complain. It's just sad to have missed a good
opportunity.
