Hi Jon:

I recently faced this issue with a 2.0 upgrade. I don't know of any solution
other than to prominently mention in large type in the release notes that the
upgrade is a paid release.

Unfortunately, I had a few people writing in to complain after they blindly
pressed "Upgrade" (which I myself and many people do by habit) and then finding
either that they had to pay for an upgrade, or in rare instances, that the app
no longer worked on Tiger. In all cases, a nicely written email turned people
around from being angry to feeling that they got great customer service.

Hope this helps.

Best,

John
