Trygve,

English to Japanese for Mac/iPhone

I also just found this on the globalization blog over at Sun.com. Has
anybody had experience with using OmegaT and PoEdit to help translate
or automate the process? Anyone using AppleGlot?

There's also a lot of open source translations where the phrases we
need have probably been translated already. What we need is a tool to
automate the location and retrieval of translations (license
permitting) based on our .strings files. I think there is already some
kind of online project like this already, but I can't remember what
it's called. I would be happy to pay for such a service, as it would
probably cover 80-90% of my requirements, and the rest could be given
to translation companies or hobbyists.

Local distribution, support, sales is a different matter... and might
justify a 30% cut.

Cheers,
Simon
