Well, maybe not via Apple's protocol, but if something can be done locally, it can be vended out to a little server. So that'd be a neat feature to add, with the needed safety-checking of any data received and a password, so nobody can just go in and nuke my ratings. I love how I can listen to songs on my iPhone and if I discover a new favorite rate it up, then sync it back to my Mac's iTunes at home. This'd be the photo equivalent for people who take lots of photos.
