Yeah that's not something you cultivate overnight.  It helps to be active on 
twitter -- get to know mac developers there -- follow them (I'm @danwood, for 
instance), interact with them, make yourself interesting enough that people 
will follow you. :-)  Go to conferences like C4, WWDC, NSConference, etc. and 
don't miss the parties --- and fight your shyness and meet people.  Write an 
interesting blog, especially something with good content (technical or 
non-technical) that indie developers will be interested in reading; maybe the 
various cocoa blog aggregators will pick up your posts.

Unfortunately that advice probably would have been more useful a year or two 
ago, but it's never too late to join the party!
