It'll never happen. Users — including plenty of home and indy business users, not just hardcore geeks — would abandon the platform in droves. Hell, *I'd* abandon the platform, and I've been a Machead for 20-odd years. It would be the death of the Mac. And there's no one at Apple that's not smart enough to know it. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple built an *optional* iTunes-like Mac app store as one available distribution channel among many. Michael -- There's really no such thing as translating. It's all a scam. We basically just make stuff up and try to make it sound plausible.
