Hi, Martin,

I wonder whether maybe this is a precursor to the creation of a Mac App 
Store--Apple just started a Mac dev program for $99/year, after all.  
Eventually Mac programs might all require code signing, so Apple can charge for 
that, lest one's code refuse to run on another person's machine.  Then they can 
require one to sell one's software through said Store.

Just random speculation.
