Well, generally, sales prices include the distributor's margin. It's just that 
when people buy directly from your web site, that margin goes towards the web 
store, not towards a third-party distributor's costs. In many cases, 
manufacturers make more profit from direct purchases than when people buy 
through a distributor.

That's what the famous minimum suggested retail price is: The price at which 
the manufacturer will sell it to end-users that other distributors can be 
competitive with. It's also the amount from which discounts usually come from.
