"An oral contract isn't worth the paper it's written on." Not that I'm a lawyer, but if you weren't there yourself, remember the session and have witnesses, you'll have a hard time defending this in court. I doubt Apple would sue without sending a cease-and-desist first, but considering how picky they are about iPhone apps, I'd not risk their ire.
