I think that's the problem with this thing. Advertising is acceptable as long as the app is free. But it will only be an effective source of income if your app (1) has an installer that (2) runs for a long time. (By "long" I mean at least 30 seconds.) But on Mac, a free app is unlikely to be complex enough to need an installer at all, let alone one a long running one. On Windows, where installers are mandatory because the OS discourages users from accessing the "Program Files" folder, Open Candy will probably do well. But on Mac, unlikely. -- Ben
