Hi all,

I am the developer of a small application for doing general mathematics and
numerical computing (think a mini-Matlab). My website is up at
http://www.solutionapp.net. The app is currently downloadable for free as an
open alpha.

I have no previous experience in the business of developing shareware, so I'm
wondering what the best strategies are to entice people to try out your
software and report on bugs. I have posted on MacUpdate and versiontracker,
and am offering a 30% discount for people reporting bugs and feedback on the
alpha version, but so far I've received only a small trickle of feedback (I'm
releasing weekly, and the application itself has been public for ~17 days).
I'm wondering whether there are any good plans that have worked for you in the
past -- I'm trying not to let the application go unnoticed :)

Many thanks,
Stefano
