James,

Back when I converted to a company account (January 2009) I faxed Apple a copy 
of my Business License and that was an acceptable form of proof at that time.  
My company is established as a sole proprietorship.  I understand that delays 
can be frustrating, but I'd be surprised if any of the delay is due to your 
company being a sole proprietorship.
