You can however choose a name in the app store, I trade as a Sole Trader who trades as "Nimble Works" (UK equiv of DBA) and during the setup phase of my app store account I could choose a name to show on the app store. This is a once only shot as you can't go back and change it later apparently. In the app store I appear as "Nimble Works" but all documentation and licenses are in my name.
Hope that helps, -John On 2 Jul 2010, at 06:39, James Bucanek wrote: > Scott Ribe <mailto:[email protected]> wrote (Thursday, > July 1, 2010 4:30 PM -0600): > > >Could this be because they are operating from a California point of view, > >where you can't wipe your @$$ without a license? > > I can only assume so. > > >Seriously, there are *many* jurisdictions where a business license is not > >required for what we do, and in the past every (which is to say, about two) > >company which initially asked for a business license backed off when I > >explained that it was not required. > > That's been my experience too, until today. > > I talked with a developer services representative and their > supervisor for about 10 minutes.
