as you obviously own a MB, could you please comment on this (i.e. does the
appletouch driver work, and thus can we get this patch into the mainline
kernel) ?

the kernel / without having to load the modules in a specific order:

Now someone claims that the appletouch driver does not work reliably with
a macbook:
