great, that was exactly what I was looking for... never thought that one is allowed to set the minimum fan speed. around 3000rpm seem to be a perfect tradeoff. and all the temps in /sys/devices/platform/applesmc/temperature_* decrease quite a bit (temp1 - the cpu sensor by 5 C) and the machine becomes a LAPtop again.
