well i installed it and i haven't noticed anything different, the fans seem normal to me in both OSX and Linux (using BIOS/LILO), of course i'm not really in a low noise environment and can only hear the fans is they pass 4500 rpm (out of a 6000rpm MAX) or so if they are running more its certainly not at 100%, btw i'm on a MBP
as for reverting the version, you might want to try and download the old one and see if you can make it install, but i think it will just say you have the latest version and refuse to install, and the firmware reset CD says it won't revert the firmware if it was successful, so i think your best option to to find out whats causing it and somehow get it fixed On Friday, November 17, 2006, at 12:07AM, "Thomas Glanzmann" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Hello everyone, >I installed yesterday the new available firmware update on my mac mini. >And the machine is louder after that (the fan seems to run fullspeed all >the time).
