So far, I have most of your problems. I'm running Gentoo, kernel 2.6.18-rc4
patched with the mactel-linux 2.6.18 patchset. I've gotten a number of things
working, but I'm still working hard to get everything. Here's my list, but I
skipped all the things I haven't messed with (cpufrequency, madwifi in monitor
mode, ekiga, and alsa's microphone).

(1) Sleep works with s2ram from the suspend project
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/suspend). Just grab it from the repository and
compile it. The macbook is even in the "whitelist", so s2ram even knows what to
do to get it working. It works from the console -- however, I have not gotten
it to work without crashing xorg. Anyone have any luck with this? I've googled
it, but I'm coming up short.

(2) pbbuttons doesn't work. Only the eject key works. I don't use it. :/ I also
haven't been able to adapt the macbook-backlight-hal package to gentoo. I don't
know enough about hal and hal devices. Is there anyone out here who can explain
this to me?

(3) Glx works for me. It's not perfect but glxgears runs at about 1200fps and
that's better than nothing. I'm running xcompmgr as well, so I'm sure xgl would
work too. The problem is, you have to use xorg 7.1 which is the only version
with the driver that will detect the intel chipset.

(4) Yep. The fn key works just fine. Not sure why my caps lock key doesn't work
in X though. Very weird.

Well that's it for now. If you guys have any suggestions or questions, I would
appreciate it. (:

Thanks everyone,
Lev
