The external firewire iSight is supposedly supported by libdc1394 and 
the coriander capture app. Sounds like it's a little more standards 
compliant than the built-in usb cam. :P

However, the audio module is separate and I'm not sure support works 
yet, although there's a project on sourceforge.

I've not tried it, so please report back...
