I have been trying get ndiswrapper working with kernel 2.6.19 with the
current (as of this evening) mactel patches installed on a core 2 duo

can't seem to change this at all, no matter if I use Gentoo portage or
compile it myself manually. I have tried 1.28, 1.29, and 1.30 of
ndiswrapper, as well as the only two versions of the network driver
(dlink dwa-645 drivers) that I can find.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem? I have had some instability
with the newer of the two dlink drivers, but not this bad.

Perhaps this could be the problem...

Looks like we have to stick with 2.6.18.x until madwifi gets around to
supporting us. For that matter, the ATI driver bombs under 2.6.19 with
relation to linux/config.h

Hey... Aren't newer kernel supposed to fix things and not break them? :-)
That's the problem with using proprietary drivers I suppose...
