I tried to install Debian (and Kubuntu with less success) in a iMac (early 2006) and a recent MacBook Pro. Unfortunately with no luck. I did as described: 1) downloaded today's debian testing net install 2) Used a new clean external HD (just bought it actually) 3) Went through the installation procedure. This wasn't always successfull, but after a few tries I managed to make it work. 4) Installed lilo (in either /dev/sdb or /dev/sdb1 ) 5) I have already rEFIt for my dual boot needs (with XP by bootcamp) 6) Tried to boot into linux. The screen goes blank, waits for a short time, then Windows starts to boot (from the internal HD) I am stuck! > peace and good luck I didn't have any :-( ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
