I am trying to start a Linux kernel with an initrd from the built-in Mac boot loader (Intel based iMac).
I have a 50 MB HFS+ partition, with a directory efi/udpcast which contains e.efi (from http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mactel-linux/trunk/misc/boot/), ebounce.efi (http://refit.sourceforge.net/files/ebounce.efi), linux (= kernel) and initrd. elilo.conf contains this: chooser=simple legacy-free prompt timeout=100 default=udpcast image=linux label=udpcast initrd=initrd (is it correct that file names here are relative to efi/udpcast directory, or would this be the root directory of that partition?) >From this folder, I ran bless--folder . --file ebouce.efi Now when I hold down the Alt button while booting the system, I have an item "EFI boot" next to my Macinthos HD partition. When I choose this, I quickly see one line of text appearing on the screen, but then immediately before you can read it, Mac OS X is started. Anybody an idea of what could be wrong or how I could debug this? -- Frederik ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
