Hello Everyvody! I have good working knowledge of Linux installation and configuration, but I have never "patched" a kernel before. I need y'all to hold my hand while I get this working, because these guides just confused me:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Apple_MacBook#Kernel_Setup http://www.mactel-linux.org/wiki/Kernel_Configuration_Guide I really need a more detailed, noob-ish, hand-holding guide that assumes I know nothing about kernels or kernel configuration or patches or compiling or whatever. Here's my setup: MacBookPro 17" 2.16GHz 120GB HD: OS-X | openSUSE | WinXP Fresh install of openSUSE 10.2 with development libraries. I have re-installed a few times after playing with JackLab, the rt-kernel, fglrx drivers, etc. However, as I write this I'm finishing up a fresh install of openSUSE 10.2 and I'm ready to patch this kernel for optimal use with my MacBookPro. Please post any relevant tips, links, questions, or guides. Thanks in advance everybody! ~Link Ray Swanson ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
