Hmm, I tried and although it loaded OK and found my AP (iwconfig) I
could get no data through the ath0 device, neither with dhcp nor manual
ifconfig. There seems to be a bit of traffic on wifi0 though. Is there
some special trick with madwifi I've not figured out? ndiswrapper works
fairly well (as long as I reload it once a day or so).
I also tried to run it straight after a reboot (in case ndiswrapper
confised it), but with the same results.

If you read the end of ticket 1001 that is consistent will what other people
are getting. mrenzmann, the madwifi dev there, says *''**HAL v0.9.30.10 is
still experimental and not yet suited for use on production systems'''...

I'll keep using ndiswrapper for the time being.. Progress is being made but
it seems to be far from perfect.
