I think that it would be nice to have a precompiled kernel like debian
or fedora or binary distro to help anyone who don't want/know how to
configure and compile a kernel, it would be helpful.
The features for this kernel could be everything as a module so if
someone want to enable something particular, he/she has only to modprobe it.

Otherwise a simple, really stripped down .config to use with the kernel
will also be nice, in this case it could be helpful to have the hardware
feature enabled as buildin, for the other features i'll leave them blank
so anyone can just enable what he/she like. There's to say that once you
have configured the kernel for the new version after the patching
session you can just do a "make oldconfig" et voi la (wow, also some
french :D).

Obviously this is IMHO.

Bye!
