Hi there, To my surprise, suspend-to-RAM worked out the box here, on a MacBook C2D (not pro) running the testing flavour of Debian GNU/Linux (with kernel 2.6.21-mactel, xorg 1:7.1.0-16, xserver-video-xorg-i810 2:1.7.2-4, libdrm 2.0.2-0.1, and a 64bits distribution). Only when the machines wakes up, the backlight is off, and has to be brought back using pommed.
I'm sorry it doesn't help solve your problem, but since I've been following this list for quite a while before getting one of those new macs, and kept reading that sleep was the trickiest thing to get working, hardly seeing any success story ever, I thought I'd share my bit of enthusiasm. Anyways, I have a question too: I was used to having my iBook sleep when closing the lid, and I see that this isn't the default action invoked by /etc/acpi/lid.sh (which blanks/locks/unlocks the screen instead). Of course, I could just hack /etc/acpi/events/lidbtn, but I was wondering if anyone had come up with a cleaner solution, that would resist apt-get updates. In short, how do you guys configure your laptop so that closing the lid brings it to sleep?
