I guess it is possible, but my primary suspect is that the synaptics module along with your X config is the culprit. Does your X logfile contain lines like these? (II) Synaptics touchpad driver version 0.14.5 (1405) (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event9 [various options] (--) Synaptics touchpad found Also, when you have fiddled, make sure you go to text console and back. I need to have it set to auto-dev as it keeps moving around on me. My current logfile gives this: # grep auto-dev /var/log/Xorg.0.log (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event9 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event9 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event9 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event7 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event7 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event12 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event8 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event8 (--) Synaptics auto-dev sets device to /dev/input/event7 / Jonas -- Jonas Petersson | XMS Penvision | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Box 3294, Västgötegatan 13, S-600 03 Norrköping | www.penvision.se Tel: +46 11 400 13 00 | Dir: +46 11 400 13 05 | Fax: +46 11 10 30 50 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
