Hi

I installed Fedora core 6 on my MacBook Pro Core2Duo using the 5CD's. I
tried connecting to the internet and it doesnt work. I checked network
manager and it seems like fedora doesnt detect any network device. So I
tried adding one under System>>Administration>>Network. But now the problem
is that I dont know which network adapter the system has. I tried searching
online for which adapter my mac has but couldnt find anything. All I could
find was something about Gigabyte ethernet..

I am a newbie at this and i am still in the learning stages so anything
would be helpfull.

I just bought a new 15" inch Macbook Pro Core2Duo 2.2Ghz from apple and
the speciafications are here

Thanks
Clive

hi Clive. run the command "lspci" to determine what networking hardware you
have. if you don't have the command "lspci", search your RPM repositories
for the appropriate package and install it. then, you can search for which
driver is appropriate for that hardware.

i have a 15" MBP Core2 Duo which i believe uses the "sky2" driver. i don't
know if your MBP is exactly the same as mine, but you might want to give
"sky2" a go.

hope that helps,
Nick
