Didn't know until now, just googled for it. Here's the result: (from http://www.fehu.org/atheros-en.html) If the card should be bound to 802.11a,b or g, do $ iwpriv ath0 mode X where X stands for 0=802.11a/b/g, 1=802.11a, 2=802.11b, or 3=802.11g. So, it binds the card to 802.11g. I think now I remember that the problem with the card not associating with an 802.11g AP (I'm using an Apple AirPort Express) was because of the wifi adapter trying to hop between frequency ranges of a and b/g or something like that.
