hi guys. i'm in the process of setting up suspend2 (now known as
TuxOnIce), when i realised that i have a bit of a problem..

all of my partitions except /boot are setup within LVM, including my
swap partition. this means that the LVM device nodes need to be
created before a resume can occur.

i've read through a fair bit of material to figure out how to do this, such as:
http://au-mirror.tuxonice.net/HOWTO-7.html#ss7.3
http://mhensler.de/swsusp/
http://au-mirror.tuxonice.net/FAQ-6#ss6.4
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-480995.html

however, those are all for Redhat, Fedora or Gentoo, whereas i run Debian Etch.

i've extracted my initrd and found this file within it:
    scripts/local-top/lvm
which as far as i can tell simply activates volume groups.

what i haven't found within the extracted initrd is any mention of
"vgmknodes", "vgscan" or "vgchange". so, i'm quite hesitant to try
suspending and resuming because i'm 99% sure it won't work for me at
the moment.

does anyone have any suggestions for how to get suspend2/TuxOnIce to
work when your swap partition is setup inside LVM?

thanks for your help!
Nick
