Yes. I use this /dev/input/eventX on my kernel 2.6.20 which is preconfigure
in Ubuntu, but when i make my own kernel and appleir is not included (in >
2.6.21) the /dev/input/eventX does not show any apple ir event. I have done
a lsinput and cat all events but no results in all kernel configurations i
have tested.

2.6.21 we need hiddev but as i told before, this event is share and lirc
does not work then.
