It seems that simply copying the isight.fw file to /lib/firmware and
then rebooting is the solution. firmware loading was moved into the
kernel module again then I guess...

The new isight_firmware module doesn't load isight.fw
I extracted the firmware (isight.fw) using isight-firmware-tools and copied it
to /lib/firmware.
Don't know why it doesn't load it. This should not be a duplicate of bug
#185634 as the 2.6.26 kernel has a new isight_firmware module. Hope this gets
finally fixed for intrepid release.
