Same hardware on Dell XPS M1530 with installed Ubuntu 8.10 (released version) updated from Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
The microphone works but at a very low level even when the Capture volume is at max, thus recording is basically not available. No mic boost option appears on the Volume Control as well. It did work perfectly though on 8.04 LTS. If anyone could provide some info or a fix it would be great because programs such as Skype cannot be used when mic operates at such a low level Thanks Christos -- Internal Microphone Not Working On MacBook 1st Gen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282754 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mactel Support, which is the registrant for Mactel Support.
