Today I did an aptitude full-upgrade, which pulled in a new grub- common and grub-pc. grub-pc generated this error: Setting up grub-common (1.98~20100115-1ubuntu3) ... Setting up grub-pc (1.98~20100115-1ubuntu3) ... /usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Your embedding area is unusually small. core.img won't fit in it. /usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in this setup by using blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and its use is discouraged. Installation finished. No error reported. Generating grub.cfg ... Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-12-generic Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-12-generic Found memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+.bin done I am now afraid to reboot.
